Laughter is the Best Medicine
[Image: 6-piece blue colored background with a Siamese cat.Text reads: “‘You’re in pain because you don’t exercise enough!’ Played 3 sports and worked out daily before chronic pain started.”]
My new rheumatologist told me that I’m having all of this pain because I have become inactive. I played 3 sports (soccer, softball and basketball) as well as I had been working out every day when the pain started. It started in my lower back, and in a matter of 5 years, it spread throughout my body to every joint, slowing my daily activities. He completely ignored the fact that I do yoga for the stiffness (which doesn’t help), he also ignored the swelling in and around my joints.
It’s been 5 years and I still have no diagnosis.

Sadly so true. Competitive swimming used to be my life. It’s funny and sad how things can change so much.
